“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” – Peter Drucker
In 2017 we celebrated 5 years of innovation. A lot has changed within those 5 years where we shifted from delivering projects to delivering you our brands’ software as a service. Here’s why and what that means for your business.
Stakeholder Collaboration
ANDRS was founded to delivering project management and consultancy services. Today our business is in tech, we have offices in two countries and our software is made in three. What remained however, is our firm believe in the value of stakeholder collaboration. This focus is now incorporated in our software brands that help you unlock your stakeholders’ business value through a “software as a service”-model.
Subscription Commerce
Long ago, subscriptions were the domain of newspapers and magazines. With the internet – subscriptions for cloud software, digital entertainment, and boxes of the month were offered.
We have now entered the era where customers do not own but share, sometimes also referred to as the sharing economy. Rather than having the burden of ownership, customers are happier subscribing to the services they want, when they want them.
As a result businesses are changing the way they sell their products and services. New types of business models have emerged and are all designed to keep customers consistently engaged in long-term relationships. Think Netflix, Amazon Prime, Uber, Spotify, Salesforce, Zendesk, Box. They all deliver Software as a service – just like we do.
Platforms for participation
Offering Software as a Service also facilitates something more profound: creating platforms for participation. Platforms that with the rise of the collaborative or sharing economy connect peers to join forces. Indeed these leverage the power of communities. Think AirB&B, ZipCar, Github. Out of all benefits this has been one of the main drivers for us to embrace SaaS.
Software as a Service
This Software as a service (or SaaS; pronounced /sæs/) is a way of delivering centrally hosted applications over the Internet—as a service. SaaS applications are sometimes called web-based software, on-demand software, or hosted software. Whatever the name, SaaS applications run on a SaaS provider’s (our) servers.
Instead of installing and maintaining software, you simply access it via the Internet, freeing yourself from complex software and hardware management. We as service provider manage access to the application, including security, availability, and performance.
What are the Advantages?
SaaS facilitates remote application hosting and delivery, making this the key advantage of our software: painless application access. You have no hardware or software to buy, install, maintain, or update. Access to applications is easy—all you need is an Internet connection. Attributed key benefits:
- High adoption
- Lower initial costs
- Painless upgrades
- Seamless integration
